The more I move through life the more that I realize that others don't have a plug into my mind. Now I know that sounds like... duhhhh Edie!! But honestly I realize that other creative folks might need a little visual to get them to get to the point that I am and at a faster speed. I just have to get around my own issue of.... why would anyone be interested in what or how I did it. I see things that others have done and think great, fantastic, and off to the studio I go to bang out my own version. Sometimes too much information contaminates my own creative process and limits my imagination. Soooo there you have it... my reluctance to go into detail. That can inhibit my blog also. I struggle with having to take take the time to put something up. I tell you computer issues also make it a bit of a cumbersome experience. I am sure all of you can relate to that.

This little box is great for that bit of jewelery that you want to give or that homemade soap or even a few treats from the kitchen. But I started to wonder (after a few comments) Just how folks visualized this. So I created some mockups to post so that others can create their own versions.
I used a button that I made a covered button (buttons of all sizes are available at
Buttons to cover)
I attached it buy simply making a hole and running a ribbon from the button loop through the hole and finishing it off in a bow. I created some small tags from Averys Key tags buy just pasting a matching image on them. The small candy canes I created with polymer clay.
On the back I stapled first a ribbon in a cress cross fashion with a large enough look to go over the button in the front then I put sealing wax on it to give it that old world look. I put glitter on a few areas around the box to add interest.
Looking Back
Some of you may recognize this box from a entry or so back. Here is is finished up and looking spot on for St. Patty's Day.

I have incorporated on both the Christmas boxes and the Luck of the Irish boxes details on the side. The Boxes are a delight from all sides including the bottoms. I keep seeing this one with golden coins in it for some "Lucky" person.
