Peek into a world

I had decided to go out with my daughter just to leave and get a breath of fresh air.  So off to the Blue Moon  Antique Mall.   This is a great place to spend more that just an hour but an hour is what we had allotted.  I went for a blue table cloth and some doilies.  Ha Ha instead the record booth caught our eye.

Who could pass up a look at all the 60's & 70's ,80's & 90's music.  But I venture from my true task so after about 30 minutes of "look at this" and OMG did you see that?  We got back to task. 

But then the mother load hit

Best Day Ever even if it ran over an hour.  Now I will have to start scanning and creating.  Oh visions of brush work dance through my head.  Oh the thinks that my photoshop  and I will do.

Yes it's Thursday night again and with that is music in the park at Seville Square. Each Thursday a different band sets up and performs to the delight of hundreds of ears.

It somehow seems that everytime a day of honor comes around for my Benevolent Dictator he runs around buying all of his own gifts leaving us with just a can of old spice to give. So heres to you my sweet dear, for all you do. Thank you and Happy Fathers Day, every day. Thank you for the wonderful place in life that you have provided, created and share. Love you

I'm Back!!

So excited!!  So much has happened!!  First I have a new arrival to announce.  My new Mac lap top.  Yes a very long time in this upgrade but so well worth it.  And with that lovely upgrade I am also a new member to the Adobe Creative Cloud.  So I am operating with Adobe CS6!!  I thought I would be crazy lost with not having had this upgrade for so long but really it has been fantastic and yesterday I did my first job on it!  A friend of mine who is in the movie industry asked me to do a flyer to his specifications!  I'll show you that one in the next post so stay tuned.

What have I been doing?  Well I have had to do some moving.  Needless to say as with any shifting of life it is a process.  But what a wonderful journey.  I have been snapping photos and logging my adventure to share with you so there will be many new post.

Some new additions

Along with a new lap top and computer programs I have had to look for some new furniture.  After combing Craigslist, and thrift stores I have some new bits that have come to live with me.

This lovely china hutch was a find at Helping Hands Thrift store.  I saw it way in the back.  The Benevolent Dictator could not see what I saw in it at the time but later on when we had gotten back from the store and unloaded it into the house he saw.  I plan to use this as a linen closet in the upstairs hallway.  I had previously wanted to paint it with chalk or milk paint but after see the wonderful chocolate color and visualizing the white towels in it I may just leave it for a bit like it is.

 The second find was the great buffet table!  A steal at a little over 100$.  That's right, and a perfect color match to the dining room table and china closet.

 

 I have taken to setting up breakfast, lunch and dinner on this functional bit of furniture.  I house all my everyday ware in the drawers for easy access. 

With all this getting my home up and running not even mentioning my studio room (had to downsize) I have been slowly going through and getting rid of items that no longer fit our life.  

In the new post I'll show you around our area and let you in on some of the creative things I have been doing.  Such as making my own chalk paint and redoing some furniture here around the house.
